These words all refer to a way that someone or  something  is  not  the same as other people or things around them.

　ここに扱う言葉はすべて、誰かや何かが他の人や周りのものと同じではないこと、またその状態にあることを指します。

disparity

a lack of equality or similarity, especially in a  way  that  is  not fair:

特に公平でない遣り方での平等または類似性の欠如、 格差、不公平

＊gap,  gulf,  chasm などの元々の物理形状的な隙間、割れ目、穴などを示す意味から＜差異、格差＞の意味を派生した語とは異なり、disparity にはその様な形状を表す意味は元からありません。

＊まぁ、純然たる格差、不公平を表す抽象名詞になります。ラテン語由来の＜高級語＞と言う次第です。

＊その意味で言葉の通俗性は少なく、formal にも堂々と利用出来ます。
