Warm-hearted

　心温かい　　（英国用法）

= kindly, loving, kind, warm  親切な、愛情深い、優しい、温かい

She was generous, vivacious and warm-hearted.

　彼女は寛大で、活気にあふれ、温かい心を持った人だった。

He was a warm-hearted, generous and much  loved  humanitarian and humanist.

　彼は温かい心を持った寛大な人道主義者で人間性探求者であり、多くの人々に愛された。

= He was a warm-hearted, generous humanitarianand  a  humanist who was much loved.

But outside the courtroom he was known asgenerous  and warm-hearted.

　しかし法廷の外では、彼は寛大で温かい心を持った人物として知られていた。

He is a warm-hearted figure, slowly and softly  spoken, his  face  given to lighting up with sudden enthusiasm.

　彼は温厚な人物で、ゆっくりとした柔らかな口調の話し手であり、突然の熱意で顔が輝き出すことがあった。

= He was a gentle man who spoke in a slow, soft  tone,  and  his face would sometimes light up with sudden enthusiasm.

deliberately not doing what someone in authority  tells  you  to do, or what a rule or law says that you should do.

Her tone was that of a parent to a disobedientchild.

I even felt that if the police didn't succeed in burying  me  they would vent their rage against some other disobedient person.

This policy was thought to protect shareholders and  creditors, whose investments or credit would not be used for an unanticipated purpose by disobedient directors.

She is very blunt, very straightforward and very  honest.

　彼女は非常に率直で、オープンで、正直だ。

I was impressed by his straightforward  intelligent  manner.

approving of something because it is easy to do  or  understand.

caring only about himself or herself, and not about  other  people.

I think I've been very selfish. I've been mainly  concerned  with  myself.
