Most religions teach you to be truthful  and  self-disciplined.

He was not only talented but  immensely  popular  with  his colleagues.

1. 見た目がスマートな

Smart people and things are pleasantly  neat  and  clean  in  appearance.

= chic, trim, neat, fashionable   シック、整った、きちんとした、おしゃれ

＊日本語のスマートもこの意味で使われますね。

Mark is a smart and sophisticated  young  man.

= clever, bright, intelligent, quick  賢い、聡明な、知的な、頭の回転が速い

Hypocritical

　偽善的な、善や美徳を装う

pretend to have qualities, beliefs, or  feelings  that  they  do not really have.

　実際には持っていない資質、信念、感情を装っている

= insincere, false, fraudulent, hollow 不誠実な、嘘で固めた、詐欺的な、中身のない

= hypocritic

I don’t like her because she is  a  hypocritical  person.

　私は彼女が好きではない。なぜなら彼女は嘘で固めた人間だからだ。

If someone is being hypocritical  then  it  is fair  to  expose  that.

　誰かが偽善的であるなら、それを暴くのは当然だ

Would be pretty brazen example of  the  pot  calling  the  kettle  a tad hypocritical.

That strikes me as hypocritical  and  grossly  insensitive.
