・used to emphasize that something is always true, or  that  someone must do   something:

　何かが常に真実である、或いは誰かが何かをせねばならないことを強調する

　　どのような（物、時、場所、状況）にも拘わらず〜だ、〜せねばならない

I never seem to lose any weight, no matter how  hard  I  try.

　どんなに懸命に頑張っても、体重がちっとも減らないように見える。

= I never seem to lose any weight, however hard I try.

We've got to get to the airport on time, no matter  what.

　何が起ころうともわれわれは飛行場には定刻に到着せねばならん。

= We've got to get to the airport on time, whatever  may  happen..

cf. have got to do = =gotta do (informal) = have to do

　gotta はぞんざい過ぎて、人前でスピーチする時には使えません。

I want to be wearing a watch no matter when.

　どんな時でも腕時計をしていたい。

= I want to be wearing a watch whenever possible.

She always bahaves elegantly no matter when I look  at  her.

　いつ見ようが彼女は常に上品に振る舞っている。

= She always bahaves elegantly whenever I look at her.

Please do not forget my word,  no matter where you  go.

　どこに行くにせよ、私の助言を忘れないで下さい。

= Please do not forget my word,  wherever you may  go.

＊感謝する筋合いでは無い、手助け無く  without the help  of 、の意味です。

It is scarcely any thank to me that he prevails.

　彼が勢力を持っているのは僕の力では殆どない。

→彼が熨しているのは僕にお礼を言われる筋合いではない。

No thank to the Pastour, who was a mercenary eye-servant.

　パスツールのお蔭じゃあない。と言うのは奴はゼニに汚く裏表のある召使いだからだ。

no thank to= despite = not prevented by   〜に邪魔されずに

＊ＯＥＤ　にこの用例の記載は有りません。手助けを受けないどころか誰かが行った邪魔、妨害にも拘わらず、の強い意味ですね。

It's no thanks to you that I  got there on time.

　僕が時間通りにそこに到着したのは、（全然）君のお蔭じゃあない。

or 君の妨害にも拘わらず僕は時間通りにそこに到着したよ。

= Despite your impeding, I  got there on time.

上の文章は I got there on time　no thanks to you. の強調構文です。

＊ no thanks to をどの程度に解釈するのかは文脈で判断するしかありません。感謝の念を抱いていないのは明らかですが。全く感謝しない、の言葉の内に、お前は妨害さえしやがったな、の気持を籠める訳ですね。

We finished the painting,  no thanks to Sandra, who  decided  she had to go   away  for the  weekend.

　私たちはペンキを塗り終えたけどサンドラには全然手伝っても貰ってないわ。だって彼女は週末旅行に出掛けると決めていたからね。（旅行に行くと言っていたので呼んでもいない）

= We finished the painting  without the help of Sandra,  who  decided she had to  go  away  for the  weekend.

＊because of が人の手に拠らない理由に拠って否定的な結果を招いた、との用法が多いのに対し、thanks  は元々人に対する感謝の言葉ゆえ、thanks to は人の営為のお蔭で良い事が起きた、とのニュアンスで使われることが多いです。

Because of the bad weather, the benefit concert drew  only  a  small audience

　悪天候でチャリティコンサートはガラ空きだった。

Thanks to good organization and hard work, the benefit  concert was a great   success.

　良い手際 （＝段取り）と努力のお蔭で、チャリティコンサートは大成功だった。

cf.organize を、＜組織化する＞ と訳すと何を言わんとしているのか意味が取れません。段取りを付ける、と訳して下さい。

to organize  = to arrange systematically　整然と配列する

＊物事が雑然としていて機能しない、の逆で、段取りが良い、訳です。

We are late for the movie thanks to you.

　君のお蔭で映画には遅刻だよ。（ironically 皮肉の気持でも良く使われます）

＊thnaks to, no thanks to には感謝の念なる感情を込めるだけに、単に原因、理由を論理的に表現する言葉とは違って、ドロドロした毒気を含める場合もある訳です。
