コロナ禍に伴う閉店或いは営業時間変更、顧客制限の告知ですが、5Ｗ１Ｈの１つ

としての時間表現を叙述から抜かすことは全く不可能です。極く普通の英語

表現ですがスンナリ理解出来ますか？いずれもサンフランシスコでの光景。

「摘めるうちにバラの蕾を摘みなさい」

carpe diem 明日のことを心配したってどうなるか判らない、目の前の事、

今を楽しみなさいとの言葉です。国内では誤解されている様ですが、明日のために

１日１日を大切にして努力しましょう、頑張りましょうの意味は全く有りません。

carpe diem

・a Latin expression meaning "seize the day", used for saying that people should enjoy the 　present rather than worrying about the future:

　ラテン語の＜今日を掴め＞を意味する表現です。未来のこことを心配するのではなく今を楽しめと言いたい時に使います。＜今が楽しきゃいいだろ＞、です。

＊日本では、（明日、未来を考え）今日一日を無駄にせず頑張って大切にしよう、の誤った意味で流布し、中には有り難がって座右の銘にしてる者、或いは企業の名に採用しているところもあり笑止です。本義は、明日のことを考えたって仕方無い、今を享楽する、目の前の快楽を味わえば良い、との刹那的な発想の言葉です。日本語の web を回り、原義を確かめずにパクり合うとロクなことになりませんのでご注意を。

＊黒死病で周囲がバタバタ死んでいく中では、取り敢えず生きている今を楽しむ、との心境にもなるでしょうね。

Although the play was written hundreds of years ago, it still has a contemporary (=　modern) feel to it.

　その演劇は何百年も前に書かれたものにも拘わらず、現代感覚を持ちあわせている。

cf. although + still で、～にも拘わらずの意、　still に、ずっと、まだ続いて、の時間的継続の意味はありません。

　～の３倍の数（量、大きさ、重さ、長さ、、その他）だ、　　　定番の表現ですね
